AMB Sports and Entertainment Taps NFL’s Nana-Yaw Asamoah as New Chief Commercial Officer

Asamoah Assumes New Position as Part of Senior Leadership Team

July 17, 2023 – Atlanta, GA – AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE) has hired Nana-Yaw Asamoah of the National Football League (NFL) to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, and he will be a member of the AMBSE senior leadership team.  Asamoah will oversee corporate partnership sales and activation for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United of Major League Soccer, and the award-winning Mercedes-Benz Stadium.  Asamoah will assume his new role beginning September 5, 2023, and report to AMBSE President, Tim Zulawski.

Zulawski, who has overseen exponential revenue growth for AMBSE was elevated to president in January of 2023, leading to the search for a new CCO. Asamoah will be responsible for creating innovative strategic partnerships with existing and new sponsors as well as executing successful activation campaigns that yield increased return and value for all partners.  Additionally, he will collaborate with Zulawski and other senior leaders across AMBSE to create innovative solutions to further grow sales and sponsorship engagement.

In 2009, Asamoah began his career with the NFL as a partnership marketing manager in sponsorship.  During his 14-year career with the League, Asamoah harnessed his innate ability to cultivate and build trusted relationships while creating value for stakeholders.  As the senior vice president, partnership strategy and sales, Asamoah led strategic planning and new business development efforts for NFL Sponsorship including landmark deals such as the NFL’s entry into sports betting, on-field sponsorship with Oakley, and the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. In 2021, Sports Business Journal honored Asamoah among its 40 Under 40.

Prior to joining the NFL, Asamoah spent three years with the New Jersey Nets managing and leading key accounts with brands such as Visa, UPS, and Nike.

Passionate about equal opportunity, Asamoah was a member of the NFL’s Diversity Council, a senior advisor to the NFL’s Black ERG, and an active volunteer with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.  Born to Ghanaian parents, Asamoah was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Harvard University where he was a member of the 2001 Ivy League champion football team.

Asamoah will be based in Atlanta, GA with his fiancé, Chloe.

Under the leadership of Joe Becher, Eli Cherenfant, and Asher Simons, CAA led the search on behalf of AMBSE.
